A Visit to CCAI
A Visit to CCAI
During our trip to Colorado in October we had the opportunity to visit Chinese Children’s Adoption International. They are the adoption agency that helped us bring sweet Abigail home. We are so thankful for CCAI. For the families they serve and for the children they bring home. This visit was exciting because we were finally able to put some faces with names. Throughout the adoption we had only communicated with CCAI through phone calls and emails. To finally meet the dear women and men who walked beside us on our journey was a real treat. One person I’m so sad I was not able to meet in person was Sarah Harmon. Sarah went above and beyond to support me throughout the process. From emails prior to applying, to phone calls asking for any updates, Sarah was always there to encourage me in the process. You can see below that we took a picture of the kids at Sarah’s desk holding a picture of Sarah and her husband! I do hope we can meet in person one of these days! The other pictures are of Abigail in the hallway filled with pictures of other children connected to their families through CCAI - every wall was covered with pictures!, the kids with Pam - the waiting child program director, and the statue in the entry way, and one more picture super cute picture from Caroline’s birthday.
